
Dr. Peter Geoffrey Lucas is a highly skilled and reputable neurosurgeon, specialising in conditions affecting the brain, nerves and spine. Dr. Lucas is accredited to conduct DVA reports for permanent impairment, providing expert assessments that adhere to industry standards and guidelines.
Dr. Lucas earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1998 and completed his surgical training at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where his passion for neurosurgery first took root. Following his residency, he pursued advanced training across Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, ultimately receiving the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Neurosurgery in 2007.
As a Neurosurgical Fellow at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, England, Dr. Lucas refined his expertise before returning to Brisbane to assume a consultant role at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. In 2009, he established a private practice at Brisbane Private Hospital, where he has since dedicated himself to delivering exceptional neurological care. His reputation for clinical excellence has earned him the trust of his patients and the respect of his peers.
Beyond the operating room, Dr Lucas enjoys travel, playing chess, spending time with his family, and completing his MBA (Master of Business Administration) studies.
